The treatment adopts soft ultrasonic waves that are ideal
for the skin that is waves with frequencies between 1MHz and 1.8MHz,
which are not felt by the patient.
Ultrasonic waves are high frequencies that give high-speed massages
to the skin tissues. This is called as the micro massage effect.
Micro massage promotes the lymph flow, helping lymph enter the gap
between cells that blood vessels do not reach. This process greatly
contributes the patient’s enhanced metabolism, which is essential
to skin care and health.
What is Ultrasonic Waves?
Sound waves are categorized according to amplitude and frequency.
Loud sound has a large amplitude and a soft sound has a small amplitude.
High-pitched sound has a high frequency and low-pitched sound
has a low frequency.
Speed of vibration (Pitch of sound) refers to the number of vibrations
per second.
It is called as frequency and is measured in Hertz (Hz).
Sound “Do” vibrates approximately 260 times per second
(frequency 260Hz).
“Do” raised by one octave has a frequency of 520 Hz.
Sounds 520Hz have very high frequencies that are more than the
audible range of human beings (16Hz ~ 18000Hz).
(This is incorrect as a frequency of 520 Hz is within the audible
range of human beings)
High frequency sounds that human eardrum cannot detect are called
ultrasonic waves.
A technical term for sound waves is longitudinal compression waves.
Who should Not use the Ultrasonic Treatment?
- People with a heart disease
- People who have just had surgery (Use the appliance six months
after the surgery)
- During a menstrual period
- People with skin diseases
- People with high blood pressure
- People with a high fever
- People with contagious diseases
- People with cerebral infarction
- Pregnant women
- Do not apply to eyes or teeth
- Do not apply to knees (the ultrasonic treatment does not have
any effect on the bone.)
1) While using the ultrasonic physical therapy appliance, its
additional effect has become known in the beauty treatment.
- Lipolysis around the abdominal region occurs while using ultrasonic
waves to treat the waist and abdominal region, which reduces the
size of the waist
- Obesity is caused by a combination of fat and body wastes that
may result in cellulite.
Cellulite has a range of damaging effects on the body. It inhibits
the circulation of lymph and blood and causes skin aging.
It destroys the elasticity and flexibility of collagen and elastin
of the inner skin, which in turn deforms the body contour leaving
the skin sagging.
Accumulating body wastes, it builds up toxic substances in the body,
and hinders the oxidization of nutrients, which fails to provide
the body with energy.
The body feels easily tired, heavy and various pains.
Burned cellulite (oxidization and breaking down) during the ultrasonic
treatment becomes a source for the body energy and the remaining
cellulite is discharged through perspiration and urine. The treatment
enhances the discharge of toxic wastes and rejuvenates the body’s
elasticity;
in particularly it provides a lifting effect the on breasts and
hips.
2) Effects of ultrasonic waves, when applied to the skin
- Applying the vibration of sound waves (1 million times per second)
to the skin cell helps to revitalize the skin.
- When ultrasonic waves enter into the skin, they produce numerous
micro bubbles while passing through the liquid between cells. These
bubbles cleanse the outer skin as well as the skin pores.
While beauty products protect the stratum corneum leaving
the skin looking smooth temporarily, the ingredients are not able
to penetrate the deep base of the skin.
Those beauty products are completely different from the ultrasonic
skin treatment. By penetrating the protective membrane of the skin
the ultrasonic treatment provides the skin with nutrition by putting
the nutrients deep into the skin, when used together with skin care
products with specific
function.
The treatment also cleanses the skin surface and removes toxic wastes
from the skin pores.
- Through physical processes inside the body ultrasonic waves produce
heat, raising the body temperature by 0.5~1 degree, which stimulates
blood vessel and lymphatic vessels promoting the blood and lymph
circulation.
Draper’s experiment has shown that applying 1 MHz ultrasonic
waves to the skin the generating power in the depth between 2.5cm
and 5cm has gradually increased:
0.04 /minute on average at 0.5 W,
0.16 /minute at 1.0 W,
0.33 /minute at 1.5 W,
and 0.38 /minute at 2.0 W.
Therefore, the ultrasonic beauty treatment requires ultrasonic waves
with approximately 0.1~0.5 W.
Depending on the purpose of the treatment 0.25~2 W is reported to
be appropriate.
However, excessive ultrasonic waves with high energy can cause adverse
effects, such as burns.
- The ultrasonic treatment helps whiten the skin by restoring melanic
pigment that has been oxidized by ultraviolet rays.
- The treatment made up of a combination of vibration, cleansing,
thermotherapy and oxidization affects subcutaneous fat, reducing
unnecessary fat.
- The ultrasonic treatment delivers moisturization to the skin and
normalizes the restoration cycle of the skin cell as it improves
the metabolism. The revitalization process reaches to the inner
skin.
The arrangement of the net structure of elasticity fibers and collagen
fibers is adjusted, bringing about the lifting effect on the skin
with reduced elasticity.
As a result, the treatment restores the elasticity of the skin,
eliminating wrinkles.
Compared to hands and feet, a face has tens of times more cells
that restore skin.
Therefore, cuts on the face leave smaller scars.
The ultrasonic treatment on a regular base can see successful results
in a short period of time.
Appropriately managed the face recovers very quickly.
- Secretions such as sebum and body wastes block the skin pores,
preventing sebum from being discharged and causing pimples and acne.
Excessive sebum from pimples or the oily skin promotes the skin
cornification.
Cleansing eases pimples and acne and skin care products with the
sterilizing function generally improve the skin.
