What Is It?
Micro dermabrasion For Healthy, Younger, Glowing Skin?

galvanic facial treatment
If you read a product for the skin rejuvenation technique known as microdermabrasion, you'd probably read a list of selling points like this:
  • Microdermabrasion is the least invasive of all dermatological procedures
  • It is more affordable than a facelift
  • Microdermabrasion is painless
  • It has no side effects
  • Microdermabrasion does not require anesthetics and it works for all skin types and all skin tones
  • Microdermabrasion helps skin look healthy, younger, glowing, and for most people, close to perfect

What they didn’t tell you about micro dermabrasion

That's what the product brochure would tell you. What the product brochure would not tell you is that microdermabrasion is a refinement of an older technique called dermabrasion. Wire brushes roll over the skin to strip off just the outermost layer, just when the skin starts to bleed. New skin grows back, the theory is, without age spots, blemishes, acne, or wrinkles.

And the fact is, microdermabrasion is a significant improvement over the older brush technique. Microdermabrasion employs a miniature "sandblaster" to blow a stream of abrasive crystals directly to the skin. Much gentler than a wire brush, the abrasive crystals lift old skin and, like the surgical technique, allow new healthy skin to grown in its place.

Microdermabrasion Risks and Side Effects

Many people who undergo microdermabrasion of the skin at home or at a spa or skin care center experience no side effects. A significant minority of microdermabrasion users, however, experience:

1. Redness
2. Itching
3. Scaling and flaking of the skin
4. Drying of the skin

For these users of the technique, the skin may look and feel as if it had been sunburned for anywhere from 2 days to 1 week.

Even though users are advised to avoid direct sunlight and to use moisturizer after treatment, avoiding sunlight and using moisturizer will not stop or accelerate the healing of the redness, itching, scaling, and flaking that sometimes occur. Moisturizer will, of course, compensate for drying of the skin.

Microdermabrasion can cause trouble to acne skin

Microdermabrasion can also have an undesirable effect on acne. Many people using microdermabrasion to lighten acne scars find that the removal of the top layer of the skin allows acne bacteria to spread and grow, resulting in more pimples and breakouts wherever the machine has been applied to the face!

And on rare occasions the abrasive crystals can find their way into the lungs or eyes, although ocular and pulmonary complications are rare.

A better way to smooth the skin is ultrasound skin therapy

Fyola ultrasound removes dead skin, not living skin. The gentle pulse of the ultrasound machine is just enough to remove the invisible flakes of skin that can keep wrinkles taut or block pores, but not enough to damage healthy cells.

Also, ultrasound creates microscopic channels through the skin that are wide enough to admit nutrients but too narrow for harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, or dirt. This property means that using Fyola results in side benefits rather than side effects. Any nutrient of healing compound placed on the skin before ultrasound can reach deep into the skin with the help of Fyola treatment.

Ultrasound Skin Therapy
an alternative way of microdermabrasion

There is a kinder, gentler alternative to microdermabrasion. That alternative is ultrasound.

Dermabrasion and microdermabrasion kill healthy skin cells. Uultrasound moves dead skin cells. Lifting and separating the debris of dead skin off the surface, ultrasound smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin flexible and refreshed—but with all the healthy cells still intact.

Ultrasound also does something that no abrasion method can ever do: It can deliver nutrients and healing agents directly to the layers of the skin that need them. Gently opening microscopic channels between living skin cells during the 10-minute ultrasound process, ultrasound allows nutrients to "pop in" while dead cells and dirt "pop out."

Even better, you can own your own Fyola machine, so you can do the procedure as often as you like at no additional charge. In just a few weeks, This machine pays for itself.
